Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and verifying prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosage, interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic duplication Supervising prescription preparation and final medication dispensing Counseling patients on medication use, side effects, storage, adherence, and possible interactions Answering questions from patients, caregivers, prescribers, and pharmacy staff Communicating with physician offices regarding clarifications, refill requests, transfers, and medication concerns Assisting with insurance rejections, prior authorization issues, and prescription problems requiring pharmacist involvement Supporting technicians and helping prioritize daily workflow Administering vaccinations when applicable and properly trained Reviewing inventory needs, medication availability, recalls, expired products, and ordering concerns Maintaining accurate patient profiles, allergies, notes, and prescription records Assisting patients with medication synchronization, adherence concerns, and general medication questions Helping establish efficient processes and workflows as the pharmacy grows Ensuring the pharmacy remains organized, compliant, and prepared throughout the day This is an active pharmacist role, but the goal is to provide you with enough support and breathing room to perform your responsibilities thoroughly rather than constantly rushing from one task to another.
