Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an Interim Staff Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a small, specialized micro-hospital setting. Located in Coatesville, PA, this role involves managing pharmacy operations in a 10-bed emergency department and 10-bed inpatient unit within an inpatient hospital environment. The contract position begins on September 21 with Monday through Friday day shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and ensure smooth pharmacy operations as the sole pharmacist onsite Assume all Pharmacist in Charge duties including audits and inventory restocking Manage hospital pharmacy policies and compliance requirements Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and support
Qualifications and Experience:
Must hold an active Pennsylvania pharmacist license Proven experience in inpatient pharmacy settings Comfortable working independently without on-site pharmacy technician support Familiarity with Cerner order entry systems and Omnicell automation preferred
Schedule and Coverage:
Monday through Friday, day shifts On-call duties required with minimal likelihood of being called in
