Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an interim pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a small micro-hospital setting. This contract role is based in West Grove, PA, with a needed start date around September 21. This position requires a licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania with inpatient experience to manage pharmacy operations in a 10-bed Emergency Department and 10-bed inpatient micro-hospital. The pharmacist will be the sole pharmacy professional on site, responsible for the full scope of PIC duties including audits, inventory restocking, and overseeing pharmacy operations without technician support. While no sterile compounding is involved, the role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to operate independently. Work schedule is Monday through Friday during day shifts, with minimal on-call responsibilities expected. The pharmacy uses the Cerner order entry system and Omnicell automation. Remote training and support will be provided by the local PIC and Pharmacy Director to assist with a smooth transition.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Active pharmacist licensure in Pennsylvania Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacist on site Willingness to take on on-call duties with limited call-ins
