Duties Oversee daily pharmacy operations across multiple facilities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and safety standards. Coordinate medication dispensing, inventory management, and medication storage practices in accordance with best practices and legal requirements. Support pharmacy staff by providing training on LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy procedures, critical care protocols, and aseptic techniques for IV infusion preparation. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient service, medication administration, and patient care strategies in hospital and acute care settings. Monitor intake processes, ensure accurate documentation of medication orders, and facilitate seamless communication between pharmacies and clinical teams. Implement quality assurance measures related to aseptic technique, medication safety, and patient service excellence. Lead efforts to improve pharmacy workflows, reduce errors, and enhance overall efficiency within the district's pharmacy network. Qualifications Proven experience in LTC pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or acute care environments with a strong understanding of medical terminology. Demonstrated expertise in critical care settings, including IV infusion preparation and medication administration. Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred; must possess knowledge of aseptic techniques and medication safety protocols. Strong background in patient service and patient care initiatives within hospital or acute care settings. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple facilities effectively. Knowledge of intake procedures, medication management systems, and healthcare compliance standards. Ability to communicate clearly with healthcare teams, patients, and staff at all levels.
