Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy team with energy and dedication. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and delivering exceptional patient care. As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will serve as the primary clinical leader, managing medication therapy, supervising staff, and maintaining the highest levels of safety, accuracy, and customer service. Your expertise will drive efficient pharmacy functions while fostering a collaborative environment focused on patient well-being. Duties Lead and manage pharmacy operations, including inventory control and dispensing processes Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and HIPAA confidentiality policies Oversee clinical pharmacy services such as medication management, patient assessments, immunizations, pain management, and acute care interventions Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain high standards of practice and workflow efficiency Conduct patient consultations to provide medication education, assess health conditions, and support overall patient care plans Maintain accurate documentation within Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and EMR platforms Monitor pharmaceutical regulatory compliance and implement necessary procedures to uphold safety standards across all pharmacy activities Requirements Valid pharmacist license in good standing with current licensure for practicing as a pharmacist Proven ability to manage pharmacy teams effectively while ensuring excellent patient service Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, drug regulation, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology Experience with pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), immunizations administration and healthcare compliance are required or highly desirable Understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence Join us to lead a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-tier pharmaceutical care!
