Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team with a primary focus on prescription verification and medication safety. The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately reviewing and verifying prescriptions, ensuring appropriate medication selection, dosing, directions, and overall prescription accuracy before dispensing. Key Responsibilities Accurately verify prescriptions for appropriate medication, strength, dosage, directions, quantity, and patient information Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, duplicate therapy, and dosing concerns Ensure prescriptions are processed and verified in accordance with applicable state and federal pharmacy laws Use professional judgment to identify and resolve prescription discrepancies or potential medication-related issues Communicate with prescribers and pharmacy staff when clarification or additional information is needed Provide appropriate counseling and medication-related information to patients Maintain accurate and complete pharmacy records and documentation Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA requirements Supervise and support pharmacy technicians as appropriate Assist with daily pharmacy workflow to promote an efficient and safe dispensing process Stay current with medications, pharmacy regulations, and professional standards Contribute to a positive and professional pharmacy environment focused on patient safety and quality service Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
