  • Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract An inpatient pharmacist role is available for a contract position starting on 9/28 for a 13-week assignment in Portsmouth, VA.
This opportunity involves working in a hospital inpatient pharmacy setting, focusing on medication management and patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shifts: 0630
  • 1500, 0730
  • 1600, 0900
  • 1730, 1000
  • 1830 Evening shifts: 1300
  • 2130, 1430
  • 2300 Overnight shifts: 1930
  • 0730, 2030
  • 0730 Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, managing drug interactions, and performing order entry.
Experience with intravenous (IV) medications, pain-controlled analgesia, antibiotics, and EMR charting is essential. Familiarity with chemotherapy, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing is preferred.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Must have current Virginia pharmacist license in hand Minimum 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience required IV medication experience, pain control analgesia, antibiotics, and drug interaction knowledge required EPIC charting experience mandatory Experience in chemotherapy, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing preferred Prior travel pharmacy experience is a plus
