Full Job Description Job Overview :
Graeber's Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to support our medical office operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pharmacy procedures, patient service, and medical terminology, with experience in hospital or community pharmacy environments. As a Pharmacy Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate medication management, maintaining compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, and delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to healthcare excellence through efficient pharmacy support functions. Duties Assist licensed pharmacists with medication dispensing, inventory management, and pharmaceutical calculations to ensure accuracy and safety. Support the preparation of sterile IV admixtures and aseptic techniques in compliance with sterile compounding procedures. Enter data accurately into pharmacy software systems, including medication records, patient information, and regulatory documentation. Provide excellent patient service by answering inquiries, processing prescriptions, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, including drug regulation and medical terminology standards. Support medication administration processes by verifying prescriptions and assisting with drug regulation compliance. Maintain proper documentation for pharmaceutical regulatory compliance and inventory control. Assist with IV infusion procedures and sterile IV admixture procedures following aseptic technique guidelines. Qualifications Prior experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or community pharmacy is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, drug regulation, and state healthcare regulations. Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and data entry processes used within medical offices or hospital settings. Strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and sterile compounding procedures. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus. Experience with pharmaceutical calculations, medication administration, and IV infusion techniques. Knowledge of hospital or acute care pharmacy practices, including aseptic technique and sterile IV admixture procedures. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to maintain patient confidentiality diligently.
