Job Description This position will teach in the PharmD and other health professions programs, coordinate courses, precept students on APPE and IPPE experiences, maintain a robust clinical practice at the Boise VA Medical Center inpatient medicine service and engage in service and scholarship expected of a clinical faculty member. This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered. Key Responsibilities Teaching - 40-50% Didactic teaching in the PharmD and other health professions programs. Course coordination. APPE and IPPE precepting. Facilitation and oversight of small group learning, lab activities. Student advising. Clinical Practice - 30-40% Establish and maintain an evidence-based, patient-centered inpatient general medicine practice at the Boise VAMC. Service - 10% Service on department, college and university committees commensurate with rank and experience. Service to the profession and engagement in professional organizations. Scholarship - 10% Establish and maintain a relevant scholarship program. The ability to work a regular schedule consistent with the needs of the university is an essential function of this position. All other Reasonable Duties as Assigned. Minimum Qualifications Pharm.

D. or BS degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Ability to be licensed as a pharmacist in the US. Minimum of one year of residency or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications PGY-2 in Internal Medicine or Pharmacotherapy. Evidence of effective teaching. Work experience in inpatient medicine on an academic teaching team. Board Certification. Experiential teaching experience. Evidence of clinical scholarship. This position will remain open until it is filled; however, priority consideration will be given to applications received on or before August 23, 2026. Salary will be between $120,000 and $138,000 per year based on rank, commensurate with education and experience.
