Join Our Team! Piedmont Equine Practice is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Part Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our growing team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are highly organized and detail oriented , and are looking for an opportunity to learn and grow within veterinary medicine, we'd love to hear from you. As our Pharmacy Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring our patients receive the medications they need, while helping keep our pharmacy organized and running efficiently. You'll work closely with our veterinarians, technicians, and client service team to provide exceptional care to both our patients and clients. Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with medication requests and questions. Prepare prescription medications and customer orders accurately and efficiently. Process medication refills under veterinary supervision. Order, receive, and stock pharmacy inventory. Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace. Work collaboratively with veterinarians and support staff to ensure timely patient care. Perform other pharmacy and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities. Horse knowledge is a plus. Previous veterinary, pharmacy, inventory management, or medical office experience is helpful but not required. Ability to learn new software and procedures quickly. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
