Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic aftercare assistant to help care for and nurture our preschool students! Responsibilities Assist teachers in childcare needs including toileting. Assist in managing classroom activities and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for children of various ages. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and redirection when necessary. Support the planning and facilitation of youth programs, including arts and crafts and outdoor adventures. Follow first aid protocols diligently; administer basic first aid or CPR/AED as needed to ensure child safety. Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports while adhering to confidentiality standards. Qualifications Must be 16 years or older Experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings, or a desire to learn. Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and first aid protocols preferred, or willingness to obtain certification. Demonstrated ability to supervise children safely during indoor and outdoor activities; outdoor work experience is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Passion for youth development programs, babysitting background, or can enhance this role.
