Events & Marketing Manager Join Our Team! We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-driven Events & Marketing Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for an energetic professional who enjoys building relationships, creating memorable experiences, and driving event and hospitality sales. The successful candidate will have a strong background in event management, marketing, and customer relations, with the ability to develop lasting relationships with guests, corporate clients, event planners, tourism partners, and industry professionals. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent organization, creativity, communication, and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities. The position offers a competitive base salary plus commission on event and service sales , providing an opportunity to directly benefit from the business you generate. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement marketing plans and strategies in collaboration with the VP & General Manager. Create compelling content for newsletters, blogs, email campaigns, social media, websites, and other digital marketing channels. Capture engaging photo and video content during events and experiences for use across social media and marketing platforms. Assist the VP & General Manager in developing, promoting, and executing a variety of events, including wine club events, private group tastings, special events, tastings, and guest experiences. Generate new private-event business and manage the sales process from initial inquiry through contract completion and event execution. Develop and maintain strong relationships with private clients, corporate event planners, destination management companies, winery tour companies, and local vendors. Prepare and finalize event contracts and coordinate details with clients and vendors to ensure successful event execution. Identify opportunities to upsell reservations and convert guests into private events, experiences, and other services. Serve as the primary point of contact for media relations and assist with public relations initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the wine and hospitality industry, including organizations such as the Virginia Wine Association (VWA), Virginia Wine Marketing Office, Loudoun Wineries and Winegrowers Association (LWA), and regional industry associations. Attend industry meetings, networking events, and community functions to promote the business and develop new partnerships. Develop and execute email marketing and e-blast campaigns. Monitor marketing and event results and identify opportunities to increase engagement, attendance, revenue, and customer loyalty. Work collaboratively with management and the broader team to ensure a consistent and exceptional guest experience. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in event management, hospitality, sales, marketing, or a related field. Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong copywriting and content-creation skills across multiple platforms. Experience creating engaging content for websites, social media, email campaigns, and digital advertising. Proficiency with Canva and other basic digital marketing tools. Familiarity with email marketing, e-blast platforms, social media, and digital marketing strategies. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain meaningful business relationships. Professional, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Experience in the wine, hospitality, tourism, events, or luxury service industries is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
