Job Description
Job Summary Okemah Pharmacy is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Pharmacy Clerk to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in providing outstanding customer service while supporting the pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with the daily operations of our independent community pharmacy. This position requires no prior experience, as we provide on-site training of everything you need to know. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional service to the local community. Responsibilities Greet patients and customers with a friendly, professional attitude. Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately. Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately. Assist customers with over-the-counter product selection and store purchases. Receive and organize incoming inventory and stock pharmacy shelves. Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked retail displays. Assist with prescription pick-up and customer notifications. Scan, file, and organize pharmacy paperwork. Help maintain inventory of pharmacy and front-end merchandise. Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with administrative tasks as permitted by state law. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned to support daily pharmacy operations. Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic computer skills. Strong attention to detail. Dependable, punctual, and able to multitask. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
