Job Description

Edgerton Pharmacy is seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic Customer Sales Associate/Pharmacy Clerk to join our team! While anyone is welcome to apply, this job is great for a high school student. You can expect to work between 1 to 3 shifts after school during the week, from 3:45pm to 7:15pm. You will also be working up to every other Saturday from 8:45 am to 2:15pm. We will be soliciting applications and then conducting interviews the week of August 10th to the 14th, with an anticipated start date on or around August 17th. The successful candidate will be key in providing outstanding and reliable service primarily to the Edgerton community. Dependability and attention to detail is of the utmost importance in this role. This position is essential to the operations of the Pharmacy.
Responsibilities include:
Meet and greet all customers, assessing their needs and direct customers appropriately Provide exceptional customer service both in-person and via phone, answering questions as able, assist customers in locating products within the store Provide support to the pharmacy team as needed, hanging prescriptions, answering phone calls, assisting customers in the drive-thru Perform register operations accurately and appropriately as needed. Ensure that all medications leaving the pharmacy are appropriately charged for and co-pays are collected Maintain patient confidentiality and is compliant with all HIPAA standards Maintaining a positive attitude and contribution to the work environment Qualifications include: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to read and interpret documents Accurate typing and computer skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions Previous retail experience preferred; not required High school graduate or equivalent preferred; not required Working Conditions include: Physical requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 25 pounds) Ability to reach down to the floor and up to higher shelves to retrieve stock and have the manual dexterity to handle small items when needed Walking and standing for long periods of time (4-6 hours) is often necessary. Daytime hours are available during school breaks and during the summer.
