Pharmacy Floor Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Floor Technician for the PM shift. This position requires working from 6:30 PM to 3:00 AM and every other weekend from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that prescriptions are accurately and efficiently prepared for final verification by a pharmacist. Responsibilities Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them per procedure. Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them during low volume times. Manually package materials and products. Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy. Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product not scanning properly. Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish stock supplies as needed. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment This role involves sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day. You may need to work extended hours as needed, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Visual acuity for reading fine prints and specific vision abilities such as close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus are required. You must be able to hear normal voice sounds. This position offers a 10% shift differential added to the base pay for covering hours after 5 PM Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burr Ridge, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
