Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacy operations, ensure accurate medication filling, dispensing and patient services. Duties Support medication dispensing processes by verifying prescriptions, filling (typing) prescriptions, managing pharmaceutical calculations, and ensuring compliance with drug regulation standards. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while handling sensitive medical information in accordance with state healthcare regulations. Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions, assisting with intake procedures, and supporting medication administration efforts. Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance through adherence to federal and state pharmacy laws, medical terminology standards. Participate in inventory management activities such as stock replenishment, expiration date monitoring, and proper storage of medications. Support clinical pharmacy initiatives by assisting with medication therapy reviews and collaborating with healthcare professionals on patient care plans. Experience Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation standards. Experience with pharmacy software systems used for data entry, medication tracking, and inventory management. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
