Alongside the physicians is a dedicated team of advanced practice clinicians, nurses, technologists and staff; all committed to providing quality care and education to meet each patient's needs during diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Pharmacy Student Intern at CHI Health Nebraska Heart, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting our pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and timely medication therapy. Whether you're beginning your pharmacy career or expanding your clinical experience, you'll play an important role in helping patients receive the medications they need throughout their recovery. Every day you will assist with medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management while collaborating with pharmacists and clinical staff to support high-quality patient care. You'll build your knowledge in a fast-paced inpatient pharmacy setting where teamwork, accuracy, and exceptional service are essential. To be successful in this role, you will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to providing outstanding patient care. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where curiosity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic will help you grow while contributing to safe and efficient pharmacy operations. Prepare, fill, and distribute unit-dose medications while performing medication exchanges for designated nursing units. Assist pharmacists with the preparation of sterile intravenous admixtures under appropriate supervision. Maintain prescription records, answer and triage phone calls, and support efficient daily pharmacy operations. Monitor medication inventory levels, replenish stock, and maintain order-book items to ensure medications are available when needed for patient care. Job Requirements Registered in a school of pharmacy, 1-2 years Must be registered in Nebraska as a Pharmacy Intern, registration must be held in the State of Nebraska
