We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Pharmacy Technician at Expert Pharmacy, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. You will work closely with pharmacists to assist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and commitment to providing the highest standard of care will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities:

Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently Prepare and label medications for distribution, ensuring all prescription labels include the correct SIG codes provided by the prescribing provider Know and accurately interpret SIG codes provided by healthcare providers for dispensing medications Type out directions as indicated by providers, ensuring clarity and accuracy Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and restocking medications Provide exceptional customer service, answering patient questions and providing medication counseling under the guidance of the pharmacist Ensure pharmacy areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations Process prescription transactions and handle insurance claims Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Perform other administrative tasks as needed, such as filing and maintaining records

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required) Previous pharmacy technician experience is required Strong knowledge of SIG codes and the ability to type accurate directions as indicated by providers Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask Knowledge of pharmacy software and technology (MMS) is a must
