Join Our Growing Department of Psychiatry & Addiction Services Flushing Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Addiction Psychiatrist to join our expanding Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Services in Queens, New York. This opportunity offers an academic environment with patient care, teaching, research, and leadership opportunities. Physicians will help develop our new Psychiatry Residency Program planned for July 2027. Position Highlights Competitive salary of $340,000-$350,000 based on experience Academic appointment opportunities Collaborative multidisciplinary team Research, Quality Improvement, and scholarly activity Teaching opportunities with medical students, psychiatry residents, and Addiction Medicine Fellows Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, malpractice, CME, and paid time off Responsibilities Provide consultation-liaison psychiatry and addiction services to the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical Units, OB/GYN, Outpatient Chemical Dependence Clinic, and Acute Inpatient Detoxification Unit (CDU). Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team. Teach and supervise medical students, psychiatry residents, and Addiction Medicine Fellows. Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry Eligible for unrestricted New York State medical license DEA registration Why Flushing Hospital Medical Center?
