Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, including sterile IV infusions and compounded medications Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, expiration tracking, and proper storage according to pharmaceutical regulations Perform data entry into pharmacy software systems with precision to ensure correct patient records and medication orders Assist with medication intake, patient service, and medication administration processes while maintaining patient confidentiality Support pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by adhering to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and aseptic technique standards Conduct pharmaceutical calculations for dosage accuracy and IV admixture procedures in sterile environments Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries, explaining medication instructions, and supporting overall patient care initiatives Skills Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician in hospital, community, or LTC pharmacy environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacological terminology, and drug regulation laws Experience with pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and data management Skilled in IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, aseptic technique, and sterile compounding procedures Familiarity with hospital or acute care pharmacy operations and hospital experience preferred Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately for medication dosing and infusion rates Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and federal pharmacy laws governing medication dispensing and patient safety This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their pharmacy career while making a meaningful difference in patient health outcomes.
