Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervision, including IV infusions and aseptic preparations. Manage medication inventories, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and documentation in compliance with safety standards. Assist with patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, reviewing medical terminology, and ensuring clarity of medication orders. Support critical care and hospital teams by providing timely medication administration assistance and maintaining precise records. Maintain a clean and sterile environment using aseptic techniques during medication preparation to prevent contamination. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient service and effective medication management across various departments. Monitor stock levels, reorder supplies as needed, and document all transactions meticulously for regulatory compliance. Requirements Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management procedures. Prior experience working in LTC pharmacy, hospital settings, or acute care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of IV infusion preparation, aseptic technique, and medication administration protocols. Critical care experience is a significant advantage for supporting complex patient needs effectively. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and communication. Ability to handle intake processes efficiently while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Certification as a pharmacy technician according to state or national standards is required; ongoing education in pharmacy practice is a plus.
