Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medication records
• Prepare and package medications for patients
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
• Enter prescription information into the computer system
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
• Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
• Certification as a pharmacy technician (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
• Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred)
• Familiarity with IV infusion and aseptic technique (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
