JOB SUMMARY

Certified pharmacy technicians in a hospital setting performs a variety of clinical, technical, and administrative tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist:

Pharmacy Director Key Responsibilities Medication Preparation and Dispensing :

Prepare and distribute medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounding following precise formulas and aseptic technique.

Inventory Management :

Maintain and monitor drug inventory, order supplies, track medication usage, and ensure automated dispensing machines and anesthesia carts and operating rooms are properly stocked.

Regulatory Compliance :

Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and compounding activities, ensuring adherence to safety, storage, and handling guidelines.

Emergency Preparedness :

Prepare and maintain crash carts and emergency medication trays, ensuring readiness for urgent situation..

Quality Assurance :

Conduct routine inspections of medication storage areas, remove expired stock, and ensure proper storage conditions.
