• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and collection procedures.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation throughout the process.
• Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signatures when required to confirm specimen labeling.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a professional and safe environment at all times.
• Accurately record and document patient information and collection details in accordance with company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with patients, peers, and supervisors.
• Travel between multiple sites as needed, covering assigned locations with minimal notice, including weekends and holidays.
• Exercise good judgment and decision-making based on established procedures, ensuring the integrity of specimen collection and handling.
• Maintain reliable transportation and a clean driving record if applicable, with flexibility to adapt to staffing and scheduling needs. Required Skills
• Extensive phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to perform error-free work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with patients, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in data entry and record keeping related to specimen collection.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if applicable. Additional Skills & Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; certification required in certain states (California, Nevada, Washington).
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections required.
• Experience working in a patient service center environment preferred.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on staffing needs.
• Ability to travel among multiple locations, with a reliable mode of transportation for mobility requirements.
