Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
Support patients in the lobby area, answering questions and addressing concerns with care and compassion
Maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks for staff coverage, ensuring a clean, organized, and professional environment
Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures
Accurately record and document patient information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with standards
Collaborate with the team to provide excellent customer service while promoting trust and confidence
Support the overall operational flow by assisting with patient check-ins and other duties as directed by area supervisors Required Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (retail, home health aide, etc.)
Previous phlebotomy experience, even as an intern or extern, is required
Strong keyboard and data entry skills to ensure accurate documentation
Ability to handle patients with care and empathy, creating a positive environment
Excellent communication skills to explain procedures and provide reassurance to patients Additional Skills & Requirements
Willingness to work both in the lobby assisting with patient check-ins and in the draw room performing phlebotomy procedures
Ability to work flexible shifts, including filling in for breaks and staffing shortages
Experience with specimen collection, including forensic and clinical samples, following established safety and procedural protocols
Completion of a phlebotomy training program or certification is preferred
High level of customer service skills is essential, with a focus on confidentiality and accuracy
Must have a valid high school diploma or equivalent
