Support our local donor centers and local blood drives (paid training located at St. Paul Center, mileage reimbursement provided)
Schedule:
Variable Schedule:
Scheduled 5 days a week. Mon - Friday with rotating weekends, may be scheduled between 6:00am - 8:30pm.

This position involves donor screening, customer service, and whole blood collection. All protocols are clearly documented and taught using inclusive and recurring training sessions. A phlebotomist in this position will have a base donor center location and work at community sites as well as occassionally support mobile blood drives. This person will work with a variety of donors each shift.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assesses and documents vitals of donor; qualifies donor responses on questionnaires to determine eligibility of donor. Performs blood collections in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Follows safety procedures. Provides excellent customer service and pre/post donation care as needed. Assists with the set-up of blood drive, including the safe loading/unloading of mobile units. Performs cleaning tasks, including equipment cleaning. Ensures accuracy, acceptability, and completeness of documentation to prevent loss of units. Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license required and reliable transportation Able to lift up to 40lbs
Other:
One year of customer service experience is preferred Excellent communication skills Specialized training beyond high school such as: phlebotomy, nursing assistant, medial assistant, EMT or one year of college coursework We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.

$19.50 - $21.00 per hour
