Job Description

We are seeking a full time or part time dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist for our medical clinic. This dual-role position involves both clinical and laboratory responsibilities, including obtaining vital signs, drawing blood, assisting with patient care, and performing various administrative and laboratory tasks.

Responsibilities:
Phlebotomy Duties:

Greet and prepare patients for specimen collection. Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with care and accuracy. Properly label, process, and store specimens for laboratory testing. Maintain accurate documentation and patient records. Follow all infection control and safety protocols.

Medical Assistant Duties:

Greet new patients and obtain and record patients' vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.). Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed. Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical supplies are stocked. Assist with front office tasks such as scheduling and patient check-in when needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in phlebotomy and patient care is a plus however on the job training is available Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic charting.
