This full-time position will travel to Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities to perform blood draws, process specimens, and coordinate specimen transport. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in venipuncture, including difficult draws, comfortable working with elderly and long-term care patients, and able to work independently while managing a daily travel schedule. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary collections on adult and geriatric patients in LTC facilities. Perform difficult blood draws confidently and safely. Accurately collect, label, process, package, and prepare specimens for transport. Complete required documentation and electronic requisitions. Coordinate specimen drop-off and shipping as needed. Travel independently between LTC facilities throughout the Kansas City area. Provide support to facility LPNs when needed. Maintain infection control, safety, HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA compliance. Communicate effectively with facility staff and the laboratory team. Remain flexible as laboratory services and facility coverage continue to grow. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Phlebotomy certification. Current CPR/BLS certification. 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience; geriatric/LTC experience strongly preferred. Strong venipuncture skills with the ability to perform difficult draws. Experience with specimen collection, labeling, processing, and preparation for transport. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally each day. Ability to work independently and maintain an organized schedule. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must pass background check and drug screening. Preferred Previous Long-Term Care phlebotomy experience. Experience with geriatric populations. Familiarity with electronic requisition systems. Knowledge of
DOT/OSHA
requirements related to specimen transport.

Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
