Shift:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking a Phlebotomist I to support an IOP location in Matthews, NC. The selected candidate will work as part of a team and perform blood draws for a diverse patient population. This position will handle approximately 25-35 patients per day and requires strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection accurately and efficiently. Perform approximately 25-35 patient draws per day. Provide quality phlebotomy services to pediatric and geriatric patients. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support daily laboratory operations. Ensure specimens are properly identified, labeled, handled, and prepared for processing. Follow established safety, infection-control, and specimen-collection procedures. Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Follow all applicable laboratory and compliance requirements. Required Skills Phlebotomy experience with strong blood-drawing skills. Pediatric (pedi) and geriatric (geri) patient experience. Ability to work comfortably as part of a team. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to perform a high volume of patient draws while maintaining accuracy. Education High School Diploma or GED required. Additional Requirements Color vision is required. Negative THC screening is required. Flu vaccination will be required once flu season begins. COVID vaccination is not required. Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended; candidates may decline and complete a declination form. Must be able to successfully complete applicable background and onboarding requirements.
