Job Description

The Phlebotomist orders and transmits lab orders in the computer system. Responsibilities include processing blood, urine, stool specimens according to Laboratory procedures. Part-Time Monday-Wednesday - 10:00am-2:00pm
Marysville, OH Duties/Responsibilities:
Ordering/Transmitting lab orders in computer system. Assists in care of patient prior to, during, and after phlebotomy. Communicates with patients of all ages in a manner which promotes a comfortable and professional atmosphere. Before performing blood draws verify patient name and date of birth. Correct any diagnosis errors that flag in system. Perform blood draws. Place patient name and date of birth on tube(s) in front of patient. Has knowledge of all routine containers and minimum volumes required for collection. Processing of blood and urine specimens. Stocks inventory and maintains a clean work area. Disposes biohazard material in the correct container. Maintains patient confidentiality. Attends required meetings and participates as requested. All other assigned duties.
Requirements:
