In this role, you will support providers and clinical staff while providing compassionate care to infants, children, and adolescents. The position combines traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities with phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory testing in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled Medical Assistant who is comfortable working with pediatric patients and has hands-on experience performing blood draws and laboratory procedures. Responsibilities Prepare pediatric patients for exams and obtain vital signs and measurements. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, vaccines, and medications. Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on pediatric patients. Perform newborn screening and CLIA-waived/point-of-care testing. Collect, label, document, and prepare specimens for processing. Maintain clean exam and laboratory areas and follow infection control and safety procedures. Document patient information accurately in the EHR. Provide compassionate care to children and families. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program. Current CMA certification required. Current CPR/BLS certification. Demonstrated competency in venipuncture and capillary blood collection required. Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and specimen handling. Pediatric or primary care experience preferred. Pediatric phlebotomy experience preferred. Strong communication, patient service, and attention-to-detail skills.
