Job Description

Overview This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a clinical setting and interacting directly with patients. As a Field Laboratory Representative, you will play a vital role in supporting laboratory testing processes by collecting and processing urine specimens efficiently and safely, ensuring the integrity of test results while providing compassionate customer service. Responsibilities Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens Collect urine specimens from patients in a professional and respectful manner Verify patient identity following departmental policies before specimen collection Properly label and document specimens for accurate tracking and testing Demonstrate empathy and excellent customer service when interacting with patients, physicians, and staff Follow established protocols and OSHA standards, including HIPAA guidelines, to maintain safety and confidentiality Report any low-volume shifts, issues, or procedural deviations to the supervisor Maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times Assist with order processing and office supply management as needed Required Skills Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service Reliable with a strong work ethic and dependability Strong computer proficiency, capable of managing multiple programs, emails, and reports Fast and accurate data entry skills Excellent communication skills to interact confidently and clearly with diverse populations Additional Skills & Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Physical ability to perform activities such as walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting Previous experience in specimen collection or clinical laboratory environments is a plus Available to work Monday through Saturday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, totaling 24 hours per week High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical or laboratory certifications are preferred Reliability and a customer-focused attitude are essential for this role Achieve your career goals by joining a dedicated team committed to quality and compassion in healthcare support.
