Position Overview Bent on enhancing patients' lives through comprehensive care, Balanced Bodies Wellness Center is seeking a committed and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Bonita Springs, Florida. This full-time position demands individuals who are passionate about restoring mobility and improving quality of life for patients managing orthopedic conditions. About the Organization Balanced Bodies Wellness Center is a dedicated rehabilitation facility that focuses on providing high-quality orthopedic outpatient care. Our mission is to empower patients by guiding them through personalized treatment journeys that prioritize their health and wellness. With a team comprising two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), we foster a collaborative environment that focuses on patient-centered care and innovative rehabilitation practices. Work Environment The rehabilitation center is designed to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. Located in the scenic Bonita Springs, our facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic equipment and technology, providing an optimal environment for effective treatment. You will work onsite in a role that emphasizes face-to-face interactions, allowing for a strong therapeutic alliance with patients, which is essential for their recovery. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify goals and requirements, ensuring tailored care plans that address individual needs. Manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour, while providing high-quality, evidence-based interventions. Utilize expertise in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols to help patients improve their functional mobility and alleviate pain. Encourage patient independence by educating them about their conditions and actively involving them in their treatment plans. Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, documenting patient progress and modifying care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary healthcare teams to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care. Advocate for alternative treatment options that reduce reliance on medications and invasive procedures. Motivate and inspire patients to adopt healthier lifestyles, enhancing their overall well-being through targeted strength, flexibility, and coordination training. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records through EMR software, specifically WebPT, ensuring compliance and facilitating seamless communication amongst the healthcare team. Patient Population / Client Focus At Balanced Bodies Wellness Center, our primary focus is on patients with orthopedic conditions, ranging from sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation. We work with a diverse demographic, including athletes, seniors, and individuals recovering from surgery or injury. Your role will be pivotal in formulating rehabilitation strategies that not only address their physical limitations but also empower them to reclaim their lives. Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution. A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida. Record of ethical practice with no disciplinary actions or board issues. Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and personalized exercise program design. Comfortable with EMR Software, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient management. Preferred Experience Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable. Skills in developing and implementing diverse treatment protocols are advantageous. Experience in educational outreach and patient motivation strategies will be beneficial.
