Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy principles, with expertise in patient care across diverse settings. As a vital member of our clinical staff, the Physical Therapist will develop and implement personalized care plans, facilitate recovery, and promote optimal mobility for patients of all ages. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes through comprehensive physiotherapy interventions. Duties Assess patients' physical conditions by reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough examinations to determine appropriate treatment strategies. Design and implement individualized care plans that incorporate evidence-based physiotherapy techniques, including trigger point therapy and orthopedics. Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to patient needs. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery and functional improvement. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, home & community care, and outpatient services. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, physiotherapy exercises, and post-treatment care to support long-term health. Participate in hospital or clinic rounds, contributing expertise in physiology knowledge, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to enhance overall patient care. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification in the State of Florida, as a licensed Physical Therapist with relevant regulatory bodies. Proven experience in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, home health environments, or rehabilitation centers. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice. Experience with discharge planning, acute care procedures, and care plans tailored for pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, or other specialized populations. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management purposes. Demonstrated ability to deliver effective patient care across diverse settings including hospital experience and home & community care experience. Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient interaction and education. Pay:
