Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving a diverse student population near Lehigh Acres, FL. As a Physical Therapist, you will provide essential services across multiple school sites, collaborating with educational teams to support students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This full-time, school-based role spans the academic year from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and adolescents.
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions in a school setting (on-site only). Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and track progress toward established goals. Travel between assigned campuses throughout the district, adapting services for a varied caseload. Provide therapy for a range of ages and abilities, fostering greater access to education for all students. Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate student documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health. Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred. Ability to navigate itinerant assignments and manage a diverse student caseload. Completion of state-mandated fingerprinting requirements, with transfer or verification if applicable. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
