Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students by bringing your passion for physical therapy to an educational setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a supportive, collaborative environment and enhance the lives of students through personalized care and therapeutic intervention. Your background in school-based physical therapy will guide your efforts in helping students reach their highest potential in gross motor skills and functional mobility. Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that foster student success.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy principles Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse student populations Skills in therapeutic assessment and documentation Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to evaluate students' motor skills and physical abilities Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with educational objectives Deliver engaging individual and group interventions Consult with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain thorough records and track student outcomes Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to goal planning
