Job Description

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' physical development in an educational environment. This per diem position runs from August 2026 through May 2027, with flexible hours—just 1-2 hours each week. Located in the scenic area near Saxapahaw, NC, you will use your expertise as a licensed Physical Therapist to make a meaningful impact while maintaining an ideal work-life balance.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and active Physical Therapist (PT) license in North Carolina Experience working in a school setting preferred, with understanding of the unique needs of pediatric populations Strong communication skills for collaborating with educational staff, students, and families Ability to develop and implement IEP-related goals Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to school-based therapy
Key Responsibilities:
Perform screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations for students as required Develop and maintain effective treatment plans designed to maximize student mobility and participation Provide direct therapy in accordance with IEP goals and best practices Document all therapy sessions and student progress following school protocols Consult and collaborate with teachers, support personnel, and parents to optimize student outcomes Contribute professional input to IEP meetings as needed
