As a Physical Therapist supporting a local school community, you'll provide specialized care and guidance that helps young learners thrive in their day-to-day environments. This position offers flexibility and the unique chance to build connections with students in a supportive educational setting with a low case load.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in New Jersey Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within a school or pediatric healthcare environment Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff Ability to independently manage and document sessions Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct individual physical therapy sessions with a student two times each month, 30 minutes per session Evaluate students' mobility, strength, and functional ability in an educational setting Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the needs and goals of the student Assess progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly Maintain thorough records and update progress reports for school personnel and families as needed Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support integrated student care
