In this position, your expertise will help foster an inclusive and accessible learning space by assessing students' physical needs, developing personalized care plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' physical abilities and mobility needs within the school setting. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans focusing on developmental milestones, mobility enhancement, and functional independence. Collaborate closely with teachers, school nurses, parents, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and discharge planning strategies. Provide therapy sessions that incorporate physiotherapy techniques as appropriate for student needs. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with educational regulations. Monitor progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly to maximize student outcomes. Educate students, teachers, and caregivers on proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and home exercises to support ongoing development. Qualifications Proven experience in pediatrics with a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to children's development. Prior work in school settings or home & community care environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with inpatient hospital experience or outpatient clinic work enhances your ability to adapt therapies effectively across different settings. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to musculoskeletal and neurological conditions affecting children and adolescents. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations, with excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
