NYS Certified Summary:
A Physical therapist will be providing therapeutic services directly to students by developing functional goals based on the student's needs, tracking student's progress, and communicating with parents.Core Functions:
- Provide comprehensive services for students with disabilities
- Develop and implement screening procedures following rules, regulations, and procedures to identify students who are in need of corrective instruction.
- Use observation, conferences with staff and various assessment techniques to make evaluations.
- Plan and deliver treatment for students with deficiencies in individual and small group settings.
- Provide regular evaluation of students to determine effectiveness of services.
- Accurately produces all records and reports as required by law and regulation or by school.
- Maintain positive, cooperative, and mutually supportive relationships with administration, instructional staff, students and parents with the school and community.
- Adhere to the New York State rules and regulations, school's policies and procedures and contractual obligations
