Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Physical Therapist license in New York State Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations (IDEA, IEP process) Ability to design and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver direct physical therapy services to students during the school day, ensuring 7 hours of contact time plus a 30-minute duty-free lunch each day Assess, document, and track student progress with clear and comprehensive reporting Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and daily routines Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate various learning environments and student abilities Maintain a positive and engaging therapy space to motivate students
