Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students from kindergarten through age 22. This full-time position offers the chance to make a difference in a dynamic educational setting near Schenectady, NY. No previous school-based experience is necessary—experienced PTs from any background are encouraged to apply. The team provides coaching and support with school-specific responsibilities and documentation during this leave coverage.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist with relevant state credentials Recent experience in physical therapy, regardless of setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new documentation processes Excited to work with children and young adults from diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students from kindergarten through age 22 Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions to support student mobility and function Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster a supportive environment Participate in meetings and trainings as needed, with coaching available for school-based processes Accurately document services and progress with mentoring provided as needed Adjust interventions as required to meet the unique needs of each student This role provides the chance to work within a welcoming, collaborative educational environment.
