Job Description
Step into a dynamic role where your expertise as a school-based Physical Therapist will directly impact K-12 students with ASD and intellectual disabilities in an urban school environment. This contract, full-time position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with a small caseload and provide essential services that foster student growth and independence. With 35 hours per week on-site, youll play a vital part in making a difference each day through compassionate care and educational support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid and active Physical Therapist license/certification in Pennsylvania Previous experience in a school-based setting is required Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students diagnosed with ASD and ID Comfortable and adaptable in an urban school environment Willingness to obtain necessary Pennsylvania clearances prior to start Must provide current licensure upon request Open to a Zoom interview as part of the selection process Strong commitment to professional collaboration and student-centered careKey Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to a K-12 student caseload Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP goals Document progress, participate in meetings, and communicate effectively with staff and families Promote functional mobility and independence within the school setting Integrate services efficiently amidst low incidental classroom involvementBenefits and Perks:
