Desired Skills & Experience:
Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT). Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred. Solid understanding of IEP processes and goal-setting for students. Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Excellent organizational abilities and adaptability in dynamic school environments. Positive, compassionate approach with a commitment to student success.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with diverse physical needs. Deliver direct therapy services and monitor progress toward student goals. Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support classroom participation and accessibility. Document treatment sessions, maintain case notes, and participate in IEP meetings as needed. Educate staff and caregivers on effective strategies to promote student independence and achievement. Adjust therapy approaches based on student progress and feedback from the school team.
