Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team in Portland. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting licensed physical therapists while ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining an efficient therapy environment.

Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercisesSafely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areasPrepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipmentSchedule patient appointments and manage electronic health recordsMonitor and maintain therapy supply inventoryPerform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentationSupport therapists in patient education and exercise demonstrationEnsure compliance with safety protocols and infection control proceduresMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulationsCollaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care deliveryQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCurrent CPR and First Aid certificationsProficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocolsWorking knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiologyExperience with electronic health records systems preferredStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication abilitiesPhysical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipmentDemonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentPrevious healthcare experience preferred but not requiredUnderstanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirementsAbility to work collaboratively within a healthcare teamProfessional demeanor and commitment to patient careAdditional InformationSalary information: $17.00 an hour401k with matchingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Flexible scheduleClinical mentorshipEmployee discount plansFull suite of benefits
