Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. In this role, you will support physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, maintaining a clean and organized treatment area, and ensuring that patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their therapy sessions. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients. Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks under the supervision of a licensed therapist. Monitor patient progress and report any concerns to the therapist. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and concerns with empathy. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a hygienic environment. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient care effectively. Experience in hospital settings, including acute care, inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute care environments. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Background in orthopedics or geriatrics is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to perform intake procedures and assist with patient assessments. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
