Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients across various care settings. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, address concerns, and promote engagement in care plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Support discharge planning by assessing patient progress and providing recommendations for ongoing therapy or home exercises. Qualifications Valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) issued by the relevant licensing board. Proven experience working with diverse patient populations in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physical therapy treatment implementation. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction. Experience with inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or acute care environments is highly desirable.
