YOUR NEW ROLE AS OUR PTA
•PHYSICAL
THERAPIST ASSISTANT
Full•and part-time hours are available between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You'll be working alongside the clinical care team and following directions from the supervising physical therapist to deliver quality, compassionate treatments to patients. With a positive and professional attitude, you'll patiently guide individuals through therapeutic exercises and functional training activities, adapting forms as needed to match the patient's current physical state. You'll document treatments, monitor patients' progress, and communicate with the physical therapist regarding their recoveries. To support home healing, you'll also educate patients (and their families) on helpful home exercises and recovery programs. Over time, you'll learn more about the physical therapy field and grow into a more confident, capable, and independent professional!
REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal PTA•Physical Therapist Assistant has some outpatient orthopedic experience, but it's not required. Some bilingual fluency in English and Arabic would be a bonus! We're looking for: Current Michigan State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with a diverse range of patients of all ages Ability to stay organized and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation Ability to travel between the Dearborn, Port Huron, and Sterling Heights locations as needed
