Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role working with students as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) on a contract assignment in a supportive educational setting near Malaga, NM. In this position, you'll collaborate with educational teams to enhance student mobility, independence, and participation, making a real difference every day. Start date is as soon as possible.
Key Qualifications:
Active licensure or eligibility as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Mexico Prior experience in a school environment strongly preferred Solid understanding of physical therapy techniques appropriate for children and adolescents Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families Organized, adaptable, and reliable team player Experience documenting therapy goals, interventions, and progress
Role Responsibilities:
Support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering direct and consultative services to students with diverse needs Work closely with educators to implement IEP/PT plans and integrate therapy into the classroom Document treatment sessions, maintain accurate records, and report on student progress Assist in the evaluation of student performance and gather data to inform intervention strategies Encourage student participation and independence through targeted exercises and activities Collaborate with school staff and parents to promote continuity of care and achievement of therapy goals This contract opportunity offers a chance to work within a dynamic team focused on student success.
