Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients across in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Your expertise in physical therapy techniques and patient management will be essential in helping individuals regain mobility and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments. Provide therapeutic interventions to patients, including exercises and modalities, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with clinic protocols. Educate patients and their families on care plans, home exercises, and injury prevention strategies. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on best practices in physical therapy and participate in ongoing professional development. Experience Previous experience or coursework in physical therapy is preferred; familiarity with pediatrics, orthopedics, outpatient settings, or home health is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team. Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs is highly valued. Ability to work effectively in both clinic and inpatient environments while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
